John Ruskan

John Ruskan is a holistic psychologist, therapist, and author whose work bridges Eastern spiritual tradition and Western humanistic psychology. His lifelong journey on the spiritual path began in 1968 at age 26, when he was initiated into a major yoga tradition.

In 1994 he published independently Emotional Clearing, a guide for releasing suppressed negative feelings through an inner meditative technique. The book became a bestseller on many New Age lists and was later released by Random House in 2000, as well as by eight foreign publishers. For the last 25 years he has found fulfillment working as a therapist and training other therapists in his technique.

John holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University (1964), but left that world to become a working musician, singer and songwriter, and recording studio owner in New York City before reinventing himself as a holistic psychologist. His latest work, DEEP CLEARING, restates and expands his original conception for a contemporary audience.
